Love from my love

Thank you for popping in.

Todays quote is

We never know what is around the next corner but at the moment, thankfully, my road is very smooth.  I have friends and family who are travelling very rocky roads at the moment and hope with all my heart that thinks get better very soon.  Special thoughts are with my Aunty Marian and Caroline who have recently lost their husband and dad and are having to wait over a month for the funeral due to the crematorium being busy! Also my friend Janet who is not doing to well at the moment and also Barbara Gray who is now on the road to recovery after a very very serious illness.

I am enjoying myself spending time with Bill who is on leave for nearly 3 weeks.  He is one of those rare breed of men who seems to enjoy housework so I'm letting him get on with it.  Although he does move my stuff around and I can never find it.  He has also spoiled me by taking me out to lunch and buying me some very longed for books by Jane Crowfoot who is a well know crochet designer so I am looking forward to working on some of her creations.

I am currently working on her Persian Tiles design in variegated yarn which I am loving.

I’ve completed all of the octagons now as well as the infills and joined them all together just leaving all side triangles to add then it will be the border to finish it all off.

I am also working on a Spring Frost blanket by Attic 24 which is very "refreshing"

and lovely colours to work on.

I have read some more books since my last post some I have liked and some I haven't.  My favourite latest read was Thrown by Sara Cox I was 'Potty' about it.

I am an avid follower of the Great Pottery Throwdown which was hosted by Sara in the first series and I am sure this is where the seeds of this plot first emerged, also Sara is a local girl going to a local school. The story is both moving and very funny 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Another good read which was such a beautiful story set on the French Riviera great for a holiday read the descriptions of the local village and surrounding areas was so lovely.

Valentine’s Day will have been and gone when this is finally posted and what a wonderful day I had albeit a day later.  We never celebrate on the 14th because everything is so much more expensive so we always celebrate on the 15th.  We had a lovely relaxed lunch out at our favourite restaurant and Bill gave me a beautiful heart charm.

That’s from me today.

Love

Megan
